This year’s Blue & Gold Ceremony was another pack success. This year’s theme, Minecraft was a pack-wide favorite for the scouts while the leaders and adults where left a little stumped as to what each den would create. As usual, our boys surprise us and the many centerpieces of Steve, Creepers and Endermans where awesome.
First off, congratulations to the AOL boys who crossed over to Boy Scouts: Kenton Osborne, Colin Frank, Stephen Bayreuther and Michael Hanna. They have worked very hard over the years, especially as Webeleos, to earn their Arrow of Light award.
We also would like to thank den leader David Bayreuther, past den leader Gary Hanna, and all of the parents who helped these boys along the way.
The pack also was proud to recognize two hiking awards. Cole Anderson was awarded his personalized Pack 106 backpack for hiking 100 miles with the pack and Carter Taillefer was awarded his 50 mile hiking stick. Congratulations to both boys!
Pinewood derby awards were handed out to many scouts in categories such as “Car most likely built by a scout,” “Most patriotic,” “Funniest” “Fastest by rank” and more. The awards for fastest cars in the pack were awarded to Luke Wexler, Robert Lanczycki and Stephen Bayreuther (3rd through 1st place respectively). Awesome job guys!
Some adults received awards as well! Webelos Den 2 leaders John Anderson and Jessica Bonetti were awarded the Den Leader Training Award. This award is given to adult leaders who in addition to running a successful den, but also attend outside training held by the council. Our own Cubmaster Lewis Alderton was always awarded the Unit Leader Award of Merit. Cubmaster Alderton was nominated by the committee to receive this award and recognizes his tremendous effort in running a fantastic scouting program. Congratulations to all.
And last but certainly not least, all of our scouts earned their rank patches!!!! Awesome job guys!!!
We would like to thank with tremendous gratitude Boy Scout Troops 106 & 107 for their help, Chartered Organization Rep Frank LaLiberte for his continuing support of the Pack, Bushel & Peck for the wonderful dinner and to the Bear Leaders for all their hard work for this awesome event.
