Tigers. Wolves. Bears. Oh my!
The October pack meeting was a fun one! We welcomed all our new tiger scouts to the pack as well as new scouts from other ranks. By earning their Bobcat badge, and the leaders and scouts of pack 106 accepting the new scouts to the pack, they are official Cub scouts of Pack 106! Congrats on your hard work boys!
Our popcorn queen, Kelly Benoit, went over some important popcorn fundraiser information, but that wasn’t the fun part! Boys who sold 20 items or more earned their own glow in the dark paracord mummie! Boys who sold 50 items or more earned a spot front and center to pie a leader or fellow scout in the face and the event did not disappoint! Take a look at the photos. Need we say more? Two lucky scouts who sold 20 or more items won a raffle to also pie a leader or scout in the face. Thank you to the tarps that condensed the mess!
After the pack meeting everyone was invited to the lions field for a camp out or just to hang by the fire and make s’mores. Before the fun began, Mr. Anderson led our pack through a flag retirement ceremony to retire two old flags. The boys learned a lot about the respect for our flag and when it is proper to burn a flag.
For the scouts and parents that braved the cold overnight temperatures in the cold in their tents, Dunkin Donuts was provided in the morning!
We also had our October Pack Hike – we were joined by Pack 107. The boys enjoyed a nice 3 mile hike to Lookout Rock and back, and were provided with an excellent view over the Blackstone Valley and some awsome fall colors.
