Wolf Den 2

About Wolf Den 2

Wolf Den 2 is lead by mail Bill Mahoney and Scott Linton.

Wolf Scouts are boys, aged 7-8, and usually in 2nd grade. There are 12 Wolf achievements in different categories. You must complete these to earn the Wolf badge. These requirements are somewhat more difficult and challenging than those for Tiger rank. If your boy is brand new to Scouting, his first goal will be to achieve his Bobcat rank, which your leaders will go over with you at our first Den Meeting.

The Uniform and Supplies

You will need to buy a uniform for your boy as follows:

  • Blue Scout Shirt (buy slightly large so he can reuse it for a few years). See this guide for information on the Cub Scout Uniform.
  • Official Cub Scout Belt & Belt Buckle
  • Wolf Hat (optional)
  • Official Uniform Blue Pants (optional)
  • The numbers 106 patches
  • World crest patch
  • DEN 1 patch
  • Mohegan Council shoulder patch

The den will provide each boy with the Wolf Handbook, neckerchief and slide at registration or the first Pack meeting. Any patches, medals or awards earned during the year will also be provided by the pack. Click here for more information about Belt Loops and Pins.

Den Meetings

Wolf Den 2 normally has one Den Meeting per month, on the third Wednesday of the month, from 6:30-7:30pm, in the GES cafeteria. Go-See-Its are also scheduled monthly, and appear on the Den Calendar.

Pack Meetings

Our Pack meetings will be held monthly usually on Friday evenings from 7:00-8:30 downstairs in St. Mary’s Hall. Pack meetings include all our Cub Scouts – Tigers, Wolves, Bears, and Webelos along with their families.

Wolf Achievements

After earning the Bobcat badge, a boy may earn the Wolf badge by completing 12 achievements involving simple physical and mental skills. This is an excellent Achievements reference.
