We had a really great Pack Meeting last night, and were pleased to award all of Tiger Scouts with their Bobcat badges! The boys and parents should be proud of this accomplishment – it’s the first of many!
The boys also received quite a few Belt Loops, Pins, and Webelos Activity Badges. Some “Leave No Trace” and “World Convervation” awards were handed out too. Well done, guys!
The Webelos Dens all announced their “patrol” names last night too. Webelos Den 1 is now known as the “Flying Lizard” den; Webelos Den 2 chose “Red Back Spider”; and Webelos Den 3 was unanimous on their choice of “Dragon” as their new den name.
The Museum of Science visited too, and gave us a great presentation! Several boys got to be participants in the experiments, and at the end, Cubmaster Paquin broke a concrete block on the presenter who was lying on a bed of nails! It was a great visit!
After the MOS presentation, some of the boys had a ton of fun smashing “cool whip” pies into the leaders’ faces. Some of the excitement was captured on a video, too!
Mrs. Rodrique went over the results of the selling so far, and the boys are doing great! There are some dens who have already earned the “bowling and pizza party prize”, with others very close! There’s only one more week of selling to go, so do what you can to try to win some of those awards! Who knows: your den might be the one to win the top prize of a snow-tubing or rock-climbing party! And don’t forget about the Stop and Shop show-and-sell next Saturday, either – your den leader has your den’s details.
Finally, many of the boys went to the Community Barn after the Pack Meeting for a movie (Pirates – Band of Misfits) and sleep-over. The weather was a bit stormy, but it was a blast, for those in-doors and out!
The agenda for the meeting is here.
